Holly Cassandra Corbett is a freelance writer and editor based part time in New York City, and part time on the road. Her thirst for learning and adventure has fueled her travels to all seven continents. She's swam in the Antarctic Ocean (without a wet suit), studied yoga and Hinduism at an ashram in India, lived on a farm while volunteering in Kenya, climbed glaciers in New Zealand, and sailed piranha-infested waters in the Peruvian Amazon.
Holly is currently co-authoring a memoir for HarperCollins, tentatively called
The Lost Girls, about a yearlong around-the-world journey she took with two other women. The idea has been optioned as a movie by Warner Bros. Studios. In addition to working as a co-author for her award-winning travel blog,
LostGirlsWorld.com, she writes for newspapers, magazines, and websites ranging from
Newsday to
Shape to
MensHealth.com. While Holly specializes in psychology, health/fitness, and travel writing, she also enjoys reporting on pop culture, religion, science, and politics. Aside from traveling and writing, she loves training for marathons and triathlons, and reading anything she can get her hands on.
